Description:

Join us for this hybrid style class; both in person at the Watergirl Quilt Co. classroom  or join us via Zoom. This is a unique hybrid style class where Zoom participants follow along live with Michell and the students in the classroom.

Michelle will introduce you to the technique of Sashiko which is a Japanese traditional stitching technique using a running stitch.  It's stitching lines to make simple and beautiful patterns on the cloth.

This class is for beginners or those who want to expand their repertoire of Sashiko motifs.  Michelle will share a brief history of Sashiko, introduce you to terms & resources, how to determine the direction of stitching, correct posture and how to begin & end stitches.

You will then be ready to continue working on your Sashiko sampler at your own pace after this class.

All participants; whether in person or via ZOOM will receive:
