INTRODUCTION TO THE Q SERIES

During this informative lecture/demo event, BERNINA Q Series owners and prospective buyers will enjoy this in-depth exploration of the Q Series longarm quilting machines and the Q-matic system.

You will receive information on machine setup including loading a frame or prepping to quilt on a table with a Q machine, understanding key features such as the BSR modes, and mastering various quilting techniques, which you will get to try on our machines. This event offers an invaluable opportunity to explore the BERNINA Q-matic Longarm Quilting Automation System, empowering you to execute both edge-to-edge and custom quilting projects with confidence and precision. Whether you're a new owner or considering the BERNINA Q-matic for your quilting needs, this session provides the knowledge and skills to elevate your quilting experience. Topics will include basics of edge-to-edge quilting, basics of custom quilting and placement for blocks.

Q-Series floor models will be provided for you to try. Just bring your notepad and pen!

Coffee and tea will be available in our kitchenette.  Please bring a travel mug or sealed cup to avoid any spillage.  Tap water in our classroom is drinkable.

Arrival:

You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open its door to make it easier to bring your things.   If you start time is prior to store opening, please wait to be let in by your instructor as staff may be busy completing their pre-opening duties.

Parking:

Limited parking spots are available in the parking lot at store level.   Please refer to signage to ensure you are NOT parked in a designated residential parking spot.  Free long term town parking is available on the river side of our building (to the left).  There is NO parking allowed on Water Street.  E-chargers are available within the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.  NOTE: there is a time limit for parking at Shoppers Drug Mart.
