Description:
Join Michelle for "Luminous"; a six-month Block of the Month program featuring a star-studded quilt design. This popular program sold out in 2021, and several participants went on to win ribbons for their finished quilts at local guild shows.
Finished quilt size: approximately 74" x 86".
Using Studio 180 rulers and traditional piecing methods, you’ll learn six blocks in a modern layout, progressing from the smallest to the largest. The pattern includes all six months, plus setting instructions.
This demonstration-style class focuses on ruler use and block construction techniques, with time for questions each month. You’ll learn the skills needed to complete each block independently.
There will be homework between classes.
This BOM series is perfect for quilters of all sewing levels who want to build skills and confidence while creating a stary and beautiful quilt. During each session, Michelle will demonstrate each block, teach essential techniques and provide tips as this stunning quilt comes together. Each block introduces new skills and introduces you to Studio 180 Design tool techniques in a friendly, hands-on way.
Pattern Book(included in class fee)
All six months plus setting instructions are included in the pattern.
Fabric Kit (included in class fee)
The fabric kit features rich colours; in teals, turquoise, greens and navy to create a stunning quilt. The fabrics are selected from the Abstraction collection by Scott Flanagan of 4th & Main Designs. This modern collection of batiks will create an effect similar to the original quilt pictured on the Luminous pattern cover, designed by Tamarinis.
Kit includes binding fabric and 4 additional fabrics from the Abstraction collection in case you would like to make substitutions or throw pillows.
